It is not until you are an adult and you’ve been through it a few times that you fully begin to understand the Bible.
Recall when Paul says : Philippians 4:7 English Standard Version
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
It isn’t until you’ve stood in it and there is no place to go and nothing to do to change things that you realize what this verse means.
God’s peace comes when fear and pain and panic make the most sense. When peace is the last thing that should be occurring.
Peace that passes all understanding.
The sickness has not left.
You didn’t get the job.
You failed the exam.
Yet somehow there is peace. Why? Because God’s peace does not come from circumstances it comes from God being present.
If He is there, then why are our minds on everything but Him?
Peace makes no sense when you’re falling and scared, but God. God shows Himself real and true.
His peace does not come from things being good. It comes from Him being Good.
