There is darkness everywhere. You see it in social media, in the news, at school.
As followers of Jesus we are called to not be consumed by the dark around us. When you accept Jesus you accept His light.
Darkness cannot overcome light. All darkness can do is fill an empty space.
If we are empty we are an opening to be filled with all consuming dark.
Only when we have Jesus in us do we have the one thing that drives the dark away and bring light.
So what is darkness?
How would you describe emotional and spiritual darkness?
Science tells us that darkness is the absence of light.
Jesus is the light of the world.
Do you ever feel confused about life?
Give me an example.
Life can be confusing even when we know Jesus.
The world is broken and sick and I don’t mean global warming.
People are so full of hurt that they are reacting aggressively and they don’t even know what jas hurt them, they just know how they feel.
Can you think of someone who is unkind for no reason you can see?
Jesus has been called healer, but He heals more than the body, He heals the soul and mind.
When you accept Jesus you become a light in the darkness. It becomes your role to light the path for others to follow, show them the path to Jesus and He will show them the way to healing, hope and peace.
